Director of Internal Audit 

Job Description 

Arnur Credit seeks an experienced and collaborative partner to be the next Director of Internal Audit based in our Shymkent headquarters. 

The Director is specifically responsible for maintaining a comprehensive program of internal auditing within Arnur Credit to assess regulatory compliance in all areas of operation; review policies, procedures, practices, and assets for purposes of risk measurement, internal control, and analysis; recommend appropriate changes and improvements; and apprise senior management and the Board of Directors of the status and disposition of findings. The Head of Internal Audit is appointed by, and reports to, the Board of Directors. 

In addition, the Director establishes standards for the internal audit process and develops an annual internal audit plan and risk assessment, determines schedule and frequency of audits to ensure that key areas are audited on a timely basis, and presents the audit plan to the Board of Directors for their review and approval. 

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Objectively review organization's business processes 
  • Evaluate the efficacy of risk management procedures that are currently in place
  • Protect against fraud and theft of the organization's assets
  • Ensure that the organization is complying with relevant laws and statutes 
  • Make recommendations on how to improve internal controls and governance processes 

·      Test the operation and the design of existing financial controls

·      Maintain and cultivate a master inventory of our businesses policies, practices and processes

·      Create and update internal audit plan

Requirements & Qualifications 

The successful candidate will be innovative, proactive, and collaborative with excellent strategic, leadership, and team-building skills. 

  • BA in Accounting/Finance/Business/ Law (Master’s preferred) 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in internal audit, preferably at a MFO or a bank 
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from senior executives and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills 
  • Ability to work with strict deadlines 
  • Strong auditing/internal control skills 
  • Knowledge of procedures relevant to MFO activities
  • Thorough understanding of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, auditing techniques and procedures
  • Willingness and ability travel to branch offices 
  • Knowledge of the English language 

FINANCIAL AND OPERATIONAL RISK SPECIALIST

Requirements:

  • • Higher education (economic);
  • • Experience in the financial or the banking sector for at least one year;
  • • Knowledge of procedures for the MFO activities;
  • • Knowledge of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
  • • Skills of reporting development and submission;
  • • Observation of business communication ethics;
  • • Skills of work with computer hardware and software, information systems used in MFO work to the extent necessary to perform functional duties;

Working conditions:

  • • Five working days in a week;
  • • Full-time work;
  • • Timely salary payment.

Shayan village, “Baydibek” Office, Ordabasy District Branch

HEAD OF BRANCH

Requirements:

  • • Higher education (economic, financial);
  • • Management experience for at least one year of work in microfinance institution or bank;
  • • High self-organization and ability to take decisions independently;
  • • Ability to persuade, appeal and listen;
  • • Travel mobility (periodically);
  • • Responsibility, high communication skills and result-orientation;
  • • Advanced PC user (MS Office).

Working conditions:

  • • Five working days in a week;

CREDIT EXPERT

Requirements:

  • • Secondary professional education (economic, financial);
  • • Experience in the financial or the banking sector for at least 6 months;
  • • Knowledge of procedures of the MFO activities;
  • • Skills of reporting development and submission;
  • • Observation of business communication ethics;
  • • Skills of work with computer;
  • • Skills of correspondence, negotiations and document drafting;
  • • Communication skills, high attentiveness, responsibility, proactivity, readiness for self-education.

Working conditions:

  • • Five working days in a week;
  • • Full-time work;
  • • Timely salary payment.

B.Momyshuly village, “B.Momyshuly” Office, Zhambyl Regional Branch

CREDIT EXPERT

Requirements:

  • • Secondary professional education (economic, financial);
  • • Experience in the financial or the banking sector for at least 6 months;
  • • Knowledge of procedures of the MFO activities;
  • • Skills of reporting development and submission;
  • • Observation of business communication ethics;
  • • Skills of work with computer;
  • • Skills of correspondence, negotiations and document drafting;
  • • Communication skills, high attentiveness, responsibility, proactivity, readiness for self-education.

Working conditions:

  • • Five working days in a week;
  • • Full-time work;
  • • Timely salary payment.
