Coupon, or coupon income, is interest payments to bondholders by the issuer, that is, the company or government agency that issued this type of securities. The dates of payment of interest on bonds and the size of the coupon are known in advance. ACI - accumulated coupon income. This is the portion of the coupon you pay when you buy a bond. You will also be paid it if you sell the bond to maturity. ACI is calculated based on the number of days that have passed since the date of issue of the security or the date of payment of the previous coupon.
ACI when selling bonds is automatically added to the sale amount. As a result, the owner of the asset gets the opportunity to sell them at any time convenient for him without losing potential profits. Accordingly, his investment pays off.
